Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie

I was watching the Today Show this early morning when a relationship section caught my attention. They were talking about the affair that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie started up whilst they were filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Now per the female relationship doctor supposedly it is a known fact that Pitt and Jolie NEVER consumated said affair whilst he was still married to Jennifer Anniston, and that she herself had admitted that she doubted very much they had done so.

Now this is what caught my attention...this doctor proceeded to claim that many affairs were started off as 'emotional' affairs and not actual physical ones. That an 'emotional' affair was more deep and harder to get over than an actual physical one because it was more about one-on-one fullfilment of emotional needs than a physical need. Another point was made that many people who have 'emotional' affairs never seem to get over them even after decades had passed and that even if they did admit to themselves they had had an affair, they were never the same again.
